OpenTDM: Suggestions needed
2007-02-09 18:11 | daelmun
R1CH is considering writing his own tdm-mod from scratch due the closed source nature of both the popular TDM mods as well as recently discovered security vulnerabilities in OSP tourney.
He asks for your suggestion of featured needed in such a mod instead of cloning a bunch of unused features from the exisiting mods.
Damiah managed to win zorre 3:0 in the last semifinal of the EDL, in a game that went back and forth in waves more than many expected. Damiah won ptrip after zorre really gave him a run for the money with very impressive aim. Whether it being nerves and/or mousetrouble, both players made some critical mistakes through the course of the games, but in the end Damiah was the better player winning the last two maps.
(ptrip/q2dm1/q2rdm2)Damiah [3:0] zorre
Grand final Damiah vs provi
Bronze final zorre vs purri
Big thanks to wision for his GTV, and kicia for her exceptionally good scorebot in #edl.q2 @ quakenet.org.

EDL: zorre - Damiah @ 20:00CET
2007-02-07 17:43 | daelmun
Tonight (7th of February) zorre and Damiah are facing eachother in the last semifinal of the European Duel League. The last two seasons' champion Damiah is in seemingly very good shape and this alone should tell you this is a game to watch. Add into the equation zorre and his smooth moves and top notch aiming skills, and we're up for a treat! Everyone seems to hold Damiah as the favorite, but that means zorre has everything to win. Since when did q2 duelling become predictable? So be sure to follow the action live!
Where it's at Drop by #edl.q2 @ quakenet.org tonight just around 20:00 CET, and be sure to check the channel-topic for any announcements of GTV ips for different povs. Scorebots will also be running at your convenience, so there is no reason not to be there!

Timers allowed... or not?
2007-02-07 00:35 | Foen
We are debating whether WAV timers in Q2 should be killed once and for all and we need to know what YOU think. So head on to the forums quick and cast your vote.
Another 5 mapper was needed to decide the winner in the EDL-semifinal between purri and provi. The game started out quite well for purri who managed to take the two first maps, but to no avail. provi started to work his aim and sneaky play, which forced the game into a 5th and deciding map. To many's disbelief, the 5th map was q2dm2, and the last game was filled with quintessential q2dm2 elements as nades and BFG action and ended in spawn-rail galore, with provi coming out on top in most battles, securing the map-win.
With this result, provi moves on to the final where he will meet the winner of Damiah vs zorre (tomorrow at 20:00 CET).
Big thanks again to hosts of GTV, atu and wision. More than 100 spectators were connected as far as I know. And of course kicia for excellent scorebot as usual.

Tonight (6th of February) purri and provi are facing eachother in the first semifinal of the European Duel League. This of course is a clash of two titans in Q2 duelling, both players haven a proven track-record of great achievements and should really put up a good show. All rustyness and inactivity aside, when it's down to the wire these two should deliver the goods and more, so be sure to follow the action live!

CB Q2TDM: play> to the final
2007-02-06 17:44 | daelmun
play> managed to take the second spot in the ClanBase TDM cup final by beating Kontula in 3 maps to 0. Allthough two of the maps proved to be quite close, the partially Swedish side showed their full potential in the last map, where Shugg shone brightly.
+plus has already secured a place in the final by beating Solaris a few days back. This will be a good chance for +plus to show what they are capable of inside the game.
Premier League Final play> vs +plus
