After three weeks of break, we are back in business and kickin'! There were two matches played during past two days.
Winners bracket finals:

Loosers bracket semi-finals:

After these polish-finnish battles, we are just waiting for loosers bracket finals match [2ez] vs 4fun which should be played tomorrow (18.12.2008) around 19-20:00cet. Winner will meet team 3M in grand final, hopefully before xmas! Stay tuned at #2x2? IRC channel for more info.
Let's also mention that in light of past events,  kaby is no more admin of 2x2 league and I would like to thank him for the job he did in 2x2, keeping players playing their games and having only one walkover during whole season so far.

Both teams eliminate 1 map before the match and pick 1 map as their home map. Team with higher fragcount picks the last map from remaining maps.
We want to mention that this season is exhibitional, so all players _should_ record demos and send them to admins on request. And plz tell us about time of your matches so we can announce them.

It has been already one year ago since the last 2x2 league activity. Back then we were disappointed by purri and pogo who forfeited the finals and provi & thaigo won the league. Here comes the time when play can get their revenge, when 2ez can prove that their win was rightful, or when any other team can show that they are actual 2x2 champions and send play and 2ez into retirement. I would like to announce 6th season of 2x2 league, which will be invitational. There will be eight teams fighting for gold in double elimination. As we want to bring some more action into the league and to see some different games than q2dm1 matches again and again, we changed maplist to: q2duel5, q2rdm5 and fury.

I would also like to introduce new admin of 2x2 league, kaby. Feel free to complain to him, instead of me ;). Also that after little discussion, we decided to change the maplist again (since there's no point of making a league without any players). It's gonna be q2dm1, q2dm3, q2rdm1, ztn2dm3 and match1. Both teams will remove one map before the match and pick one as a map they want to play. Last map in case of map score 1:1 will be decided as follows: if there's only one map left, it's decider. If there are more maps left, the team with higher frag count decides who starts map kicking. |
